Shetland Sheep Hand Felted Soap

This hand felted soap starts life as a bar of soap wrapped in soft Shetland sheep fleece, felted by hand so the fibres bind tightly around the bar. As you use it, the wool gently shrinks along with the soap, leaving a small felted pouch behind once the soap is gone.

The felted wool gives the soap a textured surface that helps it lather while offering a light grip, which can be handy in the bath or shower. Because no two fleeces are quite the same, each bar has its own character and colouring.
