Behind the Scenes at Da Craft Shed

Welcome inside Da Craft Shed — my small but mighty shop that celebrates Shetland’s creativity! When you step through the door, you’ll find handmade gifts from makers across the islands and Shetland-inspired designers from further afield who share our love of coastal life.

I carefully choose each piece based on its story, craftsmanship and connection to Shetland. From hand-knitted snoods and embroidered artwork to candles, glass, illustrations and eco-friendly gifts — every maker brings something unique to the shelves.

Running the shop means a little bit of everything: greeting tourists, updating displays, packaging online orders, and supporting the makers who rent shelves with us. No two days look the same — and that’s exactly why I love it.
